Working your inbox

One post at a time
During a session, your inbox shows one post at a time, sorted so the freshest and most promising conversations come first. Each post arrives with an AI score explaining how strong a match it is, plus a drafted reply ready for you to review. Filters at the top let you switch between new items, ones you already replied to, and ones you passed on.
Reply
The main event. Edit the draft (or rewrite it entirely), then send. The reply box has AI tools for adjusting tone and length; see making replies sound like you for how to get drafts that need less editing.
After you send a reply on X, Pounce can also like the post and follow the author for you. Both are small signals that make your reply more likely to be noticed, and both are optional: you can toggle them per reply, and set your defaults in Settings under Sessions.
Pass
Not every match is worth your time, and that is fine. Pass dismisses the post and moves you to the next one. Passing is not just cleanup: it teaches the filter what a bad match looks like, so your inbox gets sharper over time. Pass freely.
Like and DM
On X posts you also get:
- Like, for posts you want to acknowledge without writing a reply
- DM, for taking a conversation private when a public reply is not the right move. If the DM button appears disabled, reconnect your X account in Settings to grant messaging access
Block
Behind the … menu you can block an author so their posts stop appearing in your inbox:
- Block removes them permanently. Good for spam accounts, bots, and people who will never be a fit
- Block for 24h snoozes them for a day. Good for someone who is flooding your inbox right now but is otherwise relevant
You can review and undo blocks any time in Settings under Blocked users.
A rhythm that works
Treat the inbox like a lightning round, because it is one: read, decide, act, next. If you catch yourself rereading a post for the third time, it is a Pass. The compounding value of Pounce comes from showing up in a handful of the right conversations every day, not from agonizing over any single one.
