Making replies sound like you

Where your voice comes from

Pounce drafts every reply from three ingredients:

Your bio, set in Settings under Profile, which tells Pounce who you are and what you are building
Your writing notes, set in Settings under AI writing, which are direct instructions about tone and style (“no exclamation marks”, “lowercase, casual”, “never open with a question”)
Your actual posts. When you connect an X account, Pounce studies how you already write and folds that into its drafts

The more specific your writing notes, the less editing your drafts need. If you keep making the same manual fix, turn that fix into a writing note.

Reply length

A slider in Settings under AI writing controls how long drafts run, from very short to very long. Short replies tend to perform best on X; Reddit tolerates (and often rewards) more substance. The setting applies per platform sensibly, so you do not need separate accounts to get punchy tweets and meatier Reddit comments.

The tools in the reply box

While drafting, the reply box gives you one-tap AI actions:

Shorter and Longer adjust the draft’s length without changing its point
Rewrite takes another swing at the whole draft
Autocomplete finishes a reply you started typing yourself
Fix with a note lets you tell Pounce exactly what to change (“mention we have a free tier”, “less salesy”)

And of course, the box is just a text box. Type over anything. The best replies are usually a Pounce draft with one human sentence added.

The Refine wizard

If your drafts consistently miss the mark, open Refine in the app. The writing style wizard asks what you want to change and then rewrites your writing notes for you, using your bio, your strategy, and the replies you have actually sent as evidence of what you really sound like. It is the fastest way to make a systematic correction instead of editing every draft by hand.

The safety net

Before a reply goes out, Pounce checks it for things that hurt your credibility: engagement-bait phrasing, near-duplicates of replies you already sent, and links you have been posting too often. If something looks off you get a warning first, and the final call is always yours.
