Frequently asked questions

How do I use the X / Twitter Shadowban Checker?

Looking for an X shadowban test? Start with observable search visibility: whether your public profile and some recent posts can be found. This checker compares the evidence, but cannot inspect X enforcement systems or prove why a post is absent. Enter an X username or profile link. Compare eligible posts from a sample of 20 timeline posts with up to 20 Latest search results in the same date window. Read the sample visibility percentage and inspect which posts were found, missing or skipped.

Does this test ghost bans, reply deboosting or search suggestions?

No. This checker compares eligible recent posts with a sample of search results and checks whether the public profile is accessible. It does not measure reply placement or autocomplete suggestions, so it cannot diagnose a ghost ban, reply deboosting or a search suggestion ban.

Can this tool fix a Twitter shadowban?

No. It can show the visibility evidence available at the time of the check, but cannot change your account or remove a restriction. Check any notices in your X account and use X’s own appeal options if a notice offers them.

What does the percentage mean?

The share of eligible sampled posts found in the search response. We skip reposts, replies, posts older than 30 days, posts less than 15 minutes old, and posts outside a full search page’s time range. The 15-minute buffer is a precaution, not an indexing guarantee from X. An inconclusive check has no percentage.

Can this prove I am shadowbanned?

No. Only X can confirm its internal enforcement decisions. This is an observable visibility check.

Why are the results inconclusive?

Protected accounts, missing profiles, empty timelines and upstream failures do not supply enough evidence for a comparison.

Why are some of my X posts not showing in search?

A missing post can reflect indexing delays, the search date window or the provider’s limited coverage. Expand the checked posts to see which were compared, then use Check on X to compare with Latest search. Missing matches alone do not establish a shadowban.

What should I know before using this tool?

A missing match can reflect indexing delays, a small sample, private content or provider coverage. An inaccessible profile or empty timeline produces an inconclusive result, not a shadowban diagnosis. Results may be cached for five minutes. Free live lookups share a daily service limit.
