How credits work

What a credit is
Credits meter Pounce’s active work time: they tick down only while Pounce is scanning, filtering, or drafting on your behalf during a live session. Roughly 1 credit equals 1 minute of active work. Idle time is free, and you can watch your balance update live in the app.
In practice a typical 15-minute lightning round uses somewhere between 5 and 15 credits, because Pounce is rarely working every second of the clock. You need a small balance (a few credits) to start a session.
Two kinds of credits
Your balance is made of two pools:
- Plan credits come with a paid subscription and reset at the start of each billing cycle. Use them or lose them
- Permanent credits never expire. Your signup grant, credit packs, referral bonuses, and other one-time grants all land here
Pounce always spends plan credits first, so your permanent credits act as a rollover reserve rather than getting burned early.
Running out mid-session
If your balance hits zero during a session, the session pauses rather than cutting you off abruptly. From there you can top up with a pack, upgrade your plan, or, if you are on the free tier, claim a one-time extension grant to finish your round.
Getting more credits
- Subscribe. Scout includes 300 credits a month, Hunter 750, and Apex 2,000. See plans and billing
- Buy a pack. One-time top-ups from 50 credits ($9) up to 1,800 credits ($199), with the per-credit price dropping as packs get bigger. Pack credits never expire, and you do not need a subscription to buy one
- Refer a friend. Share your referral link from the Earn credits page in the app. When someone signs up through it and finishes onboarding, you each get 25 permanent credits
